Group Accountant - 12 Month FTC

Job Description

Working across all Moneysupermarket Group's brands, our Management Accountant role encompasses aspects of both management & financial accounting, for a PLC business. Joining a team of 5 colleagues all based in Ewloe, you will have the opportunity to get involved in process improvements, crafting your role to support the improvements you implement.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract

What will your daily life look like?

  • Preparation of the month end accounting reporting pack, including commentary
  • Management of treasury and banking including loan drawdowns and repayments
  • Internal controls processes and improvements
  • Statutory reporting – subsidiary statutory accounts, corporation tax, group external reporting (HY and YE)
  • Focus on systems, processes and controls to ensure that risks are minimised and processes are scalable as the business continues to grow

1. 30 min screening call with Chess (Internal Recruiter) to chat through your application and any questions you have!

2. 60 min competency based interview with the Hiring Manager and team

What do you need to excel in this role?­­

  • Fully qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)
  • Confirmed accounting and technical knowledge, including accounting standards, CT, VAT and PAYE
  • Proven success in month end and year end reporting processes
  • Shown success reviewing and analysing data or technical accounting issues, drawing out and communicating key matters to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
