Job Description
Consulting Director – Training and Advisory
USA
Salary $160k - $180k USD + bonus and benefits
Role Overview
The Consulting Director – Training and Advisory drives success for clients by innovating marketing strategy, strengthening teams, and accelerating growth with new programs and initiatives. You’ll play a vital role in Momentum’s success, too, leading internal teams, expanding our IP, and demonstrating thought leadership in areas including ABM, marketing transformation, executive engagement, and more.
Clients look to you as a Consulting Director for leadership, guidance, and results. There's plenty of support in place but it's no exaggeration to say the buck really stops with you. If we're going to deliver on a mission to be one of the world's leading growth consultancies, your role is critical.
In one word, your aim is to be brilliant. That will naturally involve most of the following personal attributes: organised, persuasive, authoritative, expert. It should go without saying you are entrepreneurial, adaptable, can think on your feet and always deliver.
Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of the client's business and shape relevant programs and initiatives, the outputs of which are training focused
- Lead and deliver L&D (training) projects across a range of strategic B2B marketing disciplines, but primarily focused on Account-Based-Marketing
- Engage senior client stakeholders (outside marketing) with authority
- Win the confidence of the client's marketing leadership and team through your expertise and experience
- Work with internal teams to deliver those L&D and any other related programs
- Grow the skills and capabilities of the L&D team generally, encouraging and inspiring them to raise their game
- Support revenue and margin goals for the L&D business service line and for the company overall
Measuring Success
The most important KPIs are linked to client retention and growth. These will differ according to the context of each client but will typically include:
- The client is positive about the experience of working with you and Momentum (whether through anecdotal feedback or more formal on CSAT surveys)
- The client stays loyal to Momentum
- The client increases their spend and recommends us to colleagues for new programs and opportunities
- The client becomes an advocate, inside their business and outside
Additional KPIs include contribution to internal team development and to offering and IP development for the Advisory and Training lines of business.
Requirements
- 10+ years B2B marketing and/or sales experience in corporate, agency, and/or consulting firm environments with demonstrated business results
- Team leadership balanced with entrepreneurial mindset and experience
- Experience developing and ideally leading ABM programs a strong plus (especially One-to-One and/or One-to-Few)
