As an Account Executive for Microsoft Elevate, you will be responsible for leading the sales strategy and execution for a portfolio of strategic accounts in the K14 industry. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge, customer insights, and Microsoft solutions to help customers achieve their digital transformation goals and outcomes. You will also collaborate with a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders, including solution specialists, technical specialists, industry advisors, partners, and executive sponsors.​

Responsibilities

  • As part of your responsibilities, you oversee complex accounts and lead planning and prioritization efforts to ensure appropriate responses to account needs. You engage with key internal partners to promote long-term, mutually-beneficial digital transformation strategies and leverage key executive relationships to build trust with the customer organization. You also leverage best-in-class sales and communication techniques to lead extended virtual teams and key stakeholders with deep industry expertise.

  • To drive digital transformation, you translate features into business impact and outcomes that accelerate the customer's digital presence. You develop compelling, value-proposition presentations and specialized business plans for customers that drive business outcomes, and implement plans for maximizing upselling/cross-selling opportunities in certain accounts. Additionally, you proactively coordinate with a network of industry experts to build strong knowledge of the industry and the competitive landscape.

  • Industry Relevant Trusted Seller – Proactively develops a strong understanding of the customer’s business, industry priorities to drive new business opportunities/ drive growth/net new business. Advocates on behalf of the customer internally, ensuring requests and needs of assigned accounts are being addressed.

  • Deliver Sales Excellence – Leads and orchestrates extended virtual teams across our solution areas to consistently achieve growth in revenue & market share.

  • Education K14 Industry Knowledge – Understands the education industry, its challenges and opportunities for the education customers, and the ecosystem in education. Builds and maintains a strong knowledge of customers’ industry, associated business strategy, and key industry partners and solutions. Gains deeper insights and knowledge through direct engagement in their customers’ business and operations. Has and expands a relevant network in education.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Economics, or related and demonstrable experience in sales

    • OR equivalent experience

  • Proven track record of developing and executing account plans that meet revenue goals and deliver measurable customer outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders across both internal teams and external customers.

  • Experience orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver value across the customer lifecycle.

  • Sales experience

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Knowledge of the Education industry and associated trends, business models, and partner ecosystems.

  • Proven ability to deliver customer success through long-term engagement, advocacy, and proactive issue resolution.

  • Sales experience preferred in the Public Sector
