We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to take full technical and strategic accountability for a portfolio of data platform products within the Global Mars Petcare Data Solutions Team. Alongside the Data Engineering, Data Science and Delivery teams you will develop and maintain the roadmap for the products, working with our Solutions Architect and lead Engineer to ensure that the products are designed to be resilient, scalable, portable, secure, performant, flexible and future-proofed.

What are we looking for?

  • A Technical Product Manager experienced in data product strategy, ownership and leadership, problem identification and definition, platform development, delivery, and release to end users and systems

  • Strong technical experience data-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or business analyst

  • Ability to define the forward vision and align product roadmap to strategic goals for the Mars Petcare Segment and all of the individual Division within

  • Ownership of the product roadmap

  • Act as the primary liaison and ambassador for the products both with Segment and Division audiences, including authority for approval of features and change messaging for stakeholders prior to each release

  • Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed way

  • A technical background in complex data systems, platforms and tooling

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Full ownership of products and their lifecycle from inception and strategy to roadmap and evolution,

  • Own roadmap, vision, and strategy within your product area/s – aligned with the vision and strategy of the Petcare Data Platform and Mars Petcare

  • Partner with other product managers/owners, data scientists, business analysts, engineers, users, scrum masters, and stakeholders to deliver data products that are adopted and tied to business outcomes

  • Make product decisions rooted in business value and impact, considering user needs, technical needs, cost and business viability
