We’re looking for a Sustainable Sourcing Manager to lead initiatives that combat climate change, scale up climate-smart and regenerative agriculture, and redesign supply chains to be more sustainable and resilient.

What Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking a driven individual with:

  • Expertise in agriculture and sustainability: Extensive experience in sustainable and regenerative agriculture, climate change mitigation, and farm-level practices in animal protein and grain supply chains. Preferably, Agri/Environmental/Sustainability or related BSc study background

  • Technical know-how: In-depth knowledge of climate-smart practices like no-till farming, cover cropping, nutrient management, and their impact on soil health and carbon sequestration.

  • Data and policy skills: Familiarity with Scope 3 carbon accounting, Life Cycle Assessments, sustainability standards (CDP, GHG Protocol, SDGs, etc.), and interpreting complex environmental data.

  • Exceptional project leadership: Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.

  • Global mindset: Experience working across EU regions and commodities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Shape Strategy: Develop and execute a regional sustainable sourcing strategy for raw ingredients in alignment with Mars’ climate goals.

  • Drive Change: Identify opportunities to enhance sustainability in supply chains, working collaboratively with suppliers, farmers, and sourcing teams.

  • Data-Driven Impact: Track and report on program performance and ensure high-quality, auditable data for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead & Inspire: Act as a functional expert and sustainability leader, supporting buyers and stakeholders to deliver Mars’ sustainability commitments.

  • Advance Commitments: Refine and implement regional sustainability programs like the Next Generation Supplier, Pledge for Planet, and category-specific initiatives.
