The Talent Mobility Senior Manager- Executives & Projects role leads on senior cross border moves in partnership with the Talent Mobility Service Delivery Lead, focusing on delivering a high quality cross border move experience. The role has two key components- firstly it is accountable for ensuring adherence to policy, compliance aspects (such as tax and immigration), optimisation of supporting processes and leveraging specialist technology systems whilst ensuring a great move experience for the mobile executive and their family; Secondly the role will also be required to drive specialist projects delivering functional change and optimisation to support the evolution of future programme efficiency and effectiveness, whilst also building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships at all levels within the organisation and with key external vendors.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified and/ or professional exams in HR/ Mobility/ Tax ​

  • Significant previous mobility experience in a past industry position or consultancy (6 plus years experience)

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, not just for own, independent work but also for the team

  • A proven track record of mastering functional expertise (e.g. immigration, employment law, taxation)

  • Previous experience in partnering with the business is essential, preferably already in international mobility

Functional Expertise:

  • Excellent understanding of risks associated with cross border moves, eg immigration, tax etc.

  • Subject matter expert in global mobility, solid knowledge of assignment management processes and procedures within a multinational company that employs a sizeable, widely dispersed expatriate population.

  • Extensive experience in working with vendors to facilitate a high quality cross border move experience;

  • Comfort and experience in dealing with executive level associates and their family members based, overseeing and project managing their cross border move experience;

  • Awareness of the complexities arising from international remote workers and how such arrangements can be worked with to promote individual and corporate compliance.

  • Current detailed knowledge of global mobility market trends and record of application of industry insights to deliver innovative mobility solutions.

  • Demonstrable project management experience delivering standardization, harmonization, and automation within the Global Mobility programme context.

  • Experience in delivering high-impact projects contributing to enhancing programme wide impact with internal customer base.

  • Ability to harmonise and simplify processes.

Leadership Skills:

  • Aptitude to navigate complex challenges, sometimes standing alone, sometimes using collaborative style and business acumen to develop a solution.

  • Strong communicator at all levels within organisation with particular ability to influence senior management.

  • Strong track record of delivering results.

  • Proven ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, able to reduce complex subjects to simple, understandable terms.

  • Track record of effective business partnering and building trusting relationships

  • Demonstrated effectiveness at articulating to and educating senior leadership on Talent, HR, and/or Mobility policies and practices

  • Empathize with different viewpoints and evidence of managing multi-segment businesses with differing priorities and strategies

  • Experience of working with multiple senior stakeholders across various segments and functional teams with differing requirements across different geographies and cultures

  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with managing and thriving in ambiguity by dealing with issues that do not always have a clear answer

  • Able to work in an autonomous, yet collaborative global environment consisting of mobility peers, other Rewards pillars, and functional teams.

  • Experience in performance management, support and oversight of more junior team members.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Perform key point of contact on move related matters to Global Leader population as their individual cross border move is worked through, acting swiftly to resolve any hurdles that present themselves and provide timely counsel to support the Global Leader in navigating through areas of ambiguity as they arise

  • Ensure a high quality mobility experience for our senior mobile Associates and their family members

  • Champion collaborative approach to processes, balancing global efficiency with the need to remain compliant

  • Ensure current policies are adhered to, sensitively managing exceptions to policy both within the function and with senior P&O stakeholders

  • Manage relationship with vendors, ensuring a high quality service is provided and drive a cycle of continuous improvement

  • Act as subject matter expert on senior cross border moves both within the mobility function but also to external business stakeholder contacts

  • Proactively seek out and implement process and program improvements based on experience and skill in project managing and driving best practice mobility solutions

  • Ensure swift resolution of any issues that arise day to day, with clear process and documentation

  • Support the business with entry into new markets through partnership with P&O BPs, Rewards Pillars, Talent Mobility Tax & Governance, and Talent Mobility Service Delivery Lead.

  • Take ownership of high-impact projects that shape the future of Mobility at Mars
