Base Salary Range - £50,000 - £63,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join Mars in a leadership role and influence a number of Petcare R&D teams on this critical agenda.

The successful candidate will develop, deploy and continuously improve our capabilities and digital tools aligned to the product performance strategy. As the pet lead for the global product performance methodology group you will manage communication to key stakeholders and leadership teams. You will also drive global methodology standards across regions and leading statistical, data and systems based projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent, ideally have QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor CQI & IRCA Certified (or equivalent) and have a passion for Quality.
  • Proven ability to maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Proven ability to hold technical conversations with experts e.g. statisticians / software developers and product designers.
  • Strong capabilities in managing stakeholders & engaging others, building effective teams, driving accountability. Courageous and persuasive.
  • Experience working in a research or manufacturing environment in operation/technical role and/or experience product development background is desirable but not essential.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement the future strategy of the program.
  • Effective collaboration with key stakeholders, pet, consumer and methodology experts at the global and regional levels and the pet and consumer research agencies.
  • Lead the QMP and auditing program, conduct in-person audits of product testing facilities & accurately assess the quality of deployment of standards and methodologies.
  • Ensure that projects are tracked and delivered using global program management tools.
  • Lead the statistical work required for the program.
  • Provide technical leadership to R&D associates in developing their understanding of pet and consumer research methodologies and capabilities through training, mentoring and feedback.
