Insights Lead – Packaging Optimization (12 month contract)

Role Overview

We are looking for an Insights Lead to join our Strategic Initiatives team within Commercial, based in Slough (hybrid home working) for a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Strategic Initiatives team oversees and drives initiatives in pursuit of maximizing Mars Wrigley’s European value delivery. These initiatives include developing a toolset to drive procurement functional excellence, and a balanced scorecard to steer the team and ensure results delivery year on year.

We are embarking on a number of initiatives to boost our Value Delivery in the region in 2023. This role will work on Value initiatives in Packaging Optimization.

Candidate Overview

The ideal candidate will be a strong business analyst with a background in professional services and/or FMCG, who is passionate about improving business solutions and ways of working. The successful candidate will be well organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple responsibilities.

An analytical but pragmatic approach to problem-solving is essential combined with commercial awareness to ensure that requirements are achievable and aligned with the business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, delivery, and assurance of your workstreams business analysis deliverables

  • Driving and managing scope and design for a workstream in collaboration with the Project Manager, including assessing the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options

  • Using data modelling to identify ways in which we can operate more effectively

  • Explore/propose different solutions, risks, benefits and impacts

  • Persuade internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of new strategy/WOW/opportunity

  • Run workshops/engagement sessions

  • Generating innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities

  • Stakeholder management - building relationships with key stakeholders and senior management, keeping them informed and managing expectations

Qualifications/Relevant Experience

  • Business Analysis / Agile / Process Improvement / Lean accreditation preferred.

  • Experience working as a business analyst within a programme and project delivery environment, ideally with FMCGs and/or professional services.

  • Packaging experience preferred

  • Proven experience with process modelling including the use of appropriate modelling tools, techniques, and standards

  • Proven experience of following business analysis best practices, policies, procedures, and processes with the ability to adapt them as appropriate to meet the specific needs of the change programme or project

  • Sound analytical skills and change management capabilities
