We are looking for an E-Auction Specialist to join our Strategic Initiatives team within Commercial, based in Slough (hybrid home working). This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Strategic Initiatives team oversees and drives initiatives in pursuit of maximizing Mars Wrigley’s European value delivery. These initiatives include developing a toolset to drive procurement functional excellence, and a balanced scorecard to steer the team and ensure results delivery year on year.

We are embarking on a number of initiatives to boost our Value Delivery in the region in 2023. This role will work on Value initiatives related to e-Auctions.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be an experienced e-auction specialist who will join our Strategic Initiatives Team within Commercial and will lead e-Auction capability to support the acceleration of e-sourcing capabilities and execution of e-auction activities within the EU Region.

What will your key responsibilities be?

  • Develop eAuction/Interactive Bidding strategy for complex sourcing projects, including lotting structure, event parameters, supplier communication etc. based on the RFx supplier details, preferred award scenarios, timelines and market conditions
  • Support projects with need to set-up E-RFx or setting up E-Auctions to increase adoption of E-auctions
  • Support large/complex projects with consistent need for technical E-Sourcing competencies
  • Be an expert in Sourcing and contracting projects, give trainings to sourcing managers in case of necessity in relevance to e-auctions
  • Hold discussions with Sourcing teams to update e-auction pipeline, identify gaps and opportunities to maximise value.
  • Lead E-Auction program in reporting usage & results (eg: no. of E-Sourcing and E-Auction events, spend addressed, results, category, and geographical performance, etc.)
  • Provide project support on bigger scope e-auction projects supporting the Sourcing Managers/Sourcing Directors
  • Develops and maintains strong stakeholder management relationships. Communicates results and acts as a proactive Business Partner.
  • Support continuous improvements of procedures and tools relevant to e-auctions. (Standardization, simplification, and automation)
