  • The S&F Director (CFO) is a member of the RC UK&I Leadership Team, and is part of the local Troika, together with the General Manager and the People & Organization Director. On top of this, the CFO plays an active role in the Royal Canin European Finance community and with his/her peers at One Mars in the UK. The exposure towards cross functional elements in this job within the company and towards the HQ requires a highly trustworthy and business-oriented approach. The jobholder reports to the GM for RC UK&I.

    One legal entity but 2 countries and 2 currencies.

What are we looking for?

  • Business partner the General Manager and Leadership Team of Royal Canin UK & Ireland in the development and delivery of the business strategy & financial shape (NSV, Earnings & Cash targets).
  • Lead and ensure the custodianship of the business according to Mars/RC Finance framework
  • Lead the functional and leadership development of S&F Associates and develop Talent across the organization both within the unit and across Europe Finance

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Partner with the General Manager and other members of Leadership Team to build 5-year plan Strategic Value Creation Plans and use insight to drive value creation optimization.
  • Work with the Leadership team to develop business plans and AEPs consistent with these Strategic Plans.
  • Ensure delivery and planning through S&OP+, including periodic review and insights of performance against targets and identification of actions to be taken to remain on track to deliver strategy.
  • Deliver results and financial shape in line with AEP plan expectations for growth, earnings, cash. Continuously improve the return on the business unit investments via clarity of objectives, shaping and holding to account on delivery.
  • Be fully accountable through operational delegation for the management of the accounting function, the integrity of the accounts and all formal reporting. Lead by example on trust & integrity.
  • Drive tone from the top with other members of Leadership Team on Governance and Control, drive continuous improvement through scorecarding and ensure full audit and ICE follow through.
  • Ensure that the capability is in place to consistently meet all legal and financial regulatory requirements in the Market, Royal Canin and Mars Inc internal reporting requirements.
  • Build a high performing and highly engaged finance team through effective leadership and a clear strategy for the function, with focus on personal development and HPC.
  • Drive the Finance team's effectiveness from process, tools and costs standpoint. Drive the digitalization of the function.
  • As a Europe CFO drive initiatives to develop the Finance community in the cluster. This includes implementing functional and leadership competency development programs to build financial and business acumen and initiate a strong Finance talent pipeline.
  • Ensure a robust DT systems and internal control environment, with clear improvement roadmaps. Partner with the DT Business Partner to shape the roadmap of unit DT projects and ensure the monitoring of their delivery is in place with actions to address issues swiftly initiated.
