Business Translation/Analytics Engagement Manager (24 month fixed term contract)

We are happy to consider candidates based in any of our supply sites, however, our preferred locations are Slough (UK) or Veghel (Netherlands).

Mars Wrigley has launched a transformation program to drive end to end Supply Chain Resilience. This is a newly created global team synchronizing across R&D, Commercial and Supply to enhance the ability of the business to avoid, absorb and recover from the impact of disruptions. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that will have a sustainable impact on company success.

The primary focus of this team will be on operating in an end to end resilience framework to develop cross-functional strategies that address immediate vulnerabilities, create long term visibility and unlock capabilities to achieve supply resilience.

This role will lead the Analytics to derive actionable insights and outcomes. Working in partnership with regions on portfolio, processes and systems to drive the cross-functional strategy of Radical Material Simplification and support other resilience workstreams as appropriate, such as single sourcing in our Supply Chain and process acceleration. Radical Material Simplification aims to transform regional material portfolios in raw materials and packaging materials to fewer, standard, supply reliable materials.

What are we looking for?

  • Significant strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain experience; ideally in raw materials and packaging.

  • Demonstrable experience of project leadership, including the ability to manage complex projects that require frequent communication, organization and time management.

  • Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization.

  • Ability to work across multi-business unit projects and to facilitate teamwork across project teams.

  • Advanced analytical and financial skills including the ability to quickly synthesize, distil and draw conclusions on large amounts of disparate data.

  • Fluent in English.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • The role(s) will be supporting the Global PMO Radical Material Simplification by providing business and market intelligence, management of data and analytics, and tracking/reporting of metrics:

Typical internal analyses and tasks include portfolio analysis, supplier information gathering and analysis, regional mapping on process and systems, identifying gaps and inter-connected projects Typical external analyses include market, economic, and other research data to drive supply resilience end to end opportunities and benchmarking

  • Partner with Regional Leads and Teams to develop baseline and set targets for material portfolio change

  • Drive insights from the analysis on cross-regional opportunities on material, category, supplier and strategy level

  • Support deployment of Global Playbook

  • Use data visualization tools on complex data sets and interpreting mathematical models such as graphs, tables, metrics, and schematics to provide insights to all levels within the business

  • Manage KPI development/improvement

  • Prepare recommendations and alternatives based on analysis of the business to standardize or make the portfolio or processes more efficient and/or reduce costs

  • Challenge the status quo, think differently and push boundaries

  • As we are starting the transformation program on Resilience this role may further evolve over time to support the broader program
