Connecting vessels, sensors, devices, and systems is essential in making our assets smart. We are developing the future connected vessels and connected assets supporting end-to-end tracking and monitoring of our customer’s supply chains and using technology to enhance our operations’ safety and support our decarbonization journey. As part of the Vessel and Cargo Connectivity (VC&C) team, we are looking for a tech-savvy, innovation-curious, and business-oriented colleague to help us match the best technologies on the market to solve our operational, safety, and decarbonization challenges.

What We Offer

You will play a key role in the Fleet Technology – Vessel & Cargo Connectivity team, working on projects from proof-of-concept to large-scale global deployments.

  • Collaboration with an experienced, international team responsible for:

    • Wireless communication (Satcom, cellular, and low-power technologies)

    • Vessel communication and IT platforms

    • New standards for the logistics industry

    • Container and cargo IoT

    • Fleet IoT to enhance energy efficiency and onboard safety

    • Designing future, green-fueled container vessels

    • IoT infrastructure, device, and sensor technologies

  • Opportunities to develop new skills and expand your knowledge within maritime and land-based logistics.

  • Close cooperation with colleagues from Commercial, Operations, and Technology, leveraging cross-functional capabilities.

  • The chance to make a global impact by delivering insights and solutions for both internal and external customers

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for product management activities related to the technology roadmap, specification, and development of Satcom and cellular connectivity and devices, supporting our digitalization journey. Your main tasks include:

  • Translating business challenges and needs into technical digitalization proposals.

  • Engaging with vendors and partners to explore and map current and future trends.

  • Creating product roadmaps with fit-for-purpose solutions, ensuring quality, resilience, and foresight.

  • Scoping, designing, developing, and delivering solutions in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Managing the product lifecycle, including monitoring performance, quality, and maximizing value creation.

  • Overseeing vendor relationships and contracts.

  • Ensuring products are developed for cross-business use, optimizing costs and utilization.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a technology-driven engineering professional with a strong business mindset who is passionate about enabling digital transformation. You are digitally fluent with technology at heart and business in mind. the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in maritime, satellite communications, cellular technology, or related fields.

  • Strong analytical skills to understand customer challenges and develop effective solutions.

  • Ability to work in a complex environment, demonstrating accountability and self-motivation.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Practical experience in engineering, product management, or similar roles.

  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.

  • Presentation and facilitation skills.

  • A collaborative approach, thriving in team environments and valuing collective success.
