Product Development is responsible for the technical aspects of building a product. It involves creating and bringing new products to the market. It involves all activities and stages required to transform an idea or concept into a tangible and marketable product. Product development encompasses research and development, prototyping, testing, coding, designing and iterating on the product's features and functionalities.

Individual work ranges from setting objectives and delivering on own work responsibilities to being a leading expert within a given field and influencing long term tactical decisions of the organization.

Progression within this stream reflects increasing depth of professional knowledge, project management capability, and the ability to influence others.
A colleague at this level contributes to wider decision making including the development of practices, processes and procedures. They have knowledge and understanding of the business, their own functional area and interdependencies with other functions.

They work independently within a broad framework, with a clear level of authority and solves complex challenges based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes. They have awareness of the potential impact a proposed solution might have outside their own immediate area, and will work cross functional to mitigate as needed.

Leaders at this level develop departmental plans based on the functional strategy and execute through a team of professionals. They develop team members by coaching and mentoring to drive performance and build talent pipelines.

Looking for someone with 4+ years of post MBA experience in Product Management (for Supply Chain Platform, Maersk).

Job Overview: The role entails the development of a planning capability suite to optimize the bookings (carrier) based on the customer requests. In the Supply Chain ecosystem, lead logistics product offering covers the end-to-end management of customer cargo, that includes placing the right bookings with the right carriers at the right time, This also includes delivering the value to the customer in terms of Speed, Cost, Reliability or Sustainability. Given the longer lead time and variability, replanning scenarios (based on external factors) are also critical for customer's success

Key Responsibilities;

Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the charter's overall goals.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Stakeholders: Collaborate with engineering, user experience, regional, and internal teams to ensure successful product development and launch.

Adoption: Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, ensuring the product meets or exceeds their expectations (on the aligned KPIs).

Data Domain: Engage engineering teams to deliver the Gen AI based solutions accounting for external and internal variables.

Qualifications;

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field along with MBA (or advanced degree).

Experience: 8+ years of total experience with 4+ years in Product Management domain (focus on data products is preferred).

Technical Skills: Proficient in product management tools and methodologies (Jira, Confluence, Asana, Figma). Familiarity with agile development processes is preferred.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams (15+) and manage multiple stakeholders.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Base location: Bengaluru or Mumbai (based on candidate's preference). It will be a hybrid working model with WFH allowed (as per current compolicy). Role will also include travel across mainly three countries, Denmark, China and US.
