Key Responsibilities

  • Create and launch engaging attraction campaigns that spark interest in maritime careers among talented cadets
  • Coordinate with our training partners for interview drives across India and onboard cadets into our crew management systems
  • Follow their academic journey on campus and help them transition from Pre sea to the post sea phase until they graduate as officers through the structured training and examination programs
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring smooth embarkation and a memorable experience for cadets, covering medicals, certifications, e-learning courses, and pre-joining briefings
  • Liaise with training vendors to coordinate execution of training programs
  • Track talent progress, support cadet welfare, and celebrate every milestone on their journey to becoming future maritime leaders
  • Assist in managing disciplinary cases sensitively and fairly, promoting accountability and improvement while protecting the welfare of all parties involved
  • Act as a trusted liaison for cadets during grievance redressal to help maintain a safe, respectful, and transparent workplace environment where issues are addressed with integrity and care
  • Foster learning and growth by inspiring cadets to pursue continuous development throughout their careers with Maersk
  • Promote Maersk’s values by supporting a dynamic, people-first culture built on teamwork, purpose, and plenty of shared laughs
  • Track talent progress, support cadet welfare, and celebrate every milestone on their journey to becoming future maritime leaders

What are we looking for

  • Graduates and postgraduates with enthusiasm for ships and transferable skills are warmly welcomed
  • A background in HR to better understand candidate motivation, engagement, and career development
  • Strong communicator, team player, and proactive problem solver who owns their work and adapts to changing tides
  • Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability ready to take the helm and steer us forward
  • A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
  • A people person who can build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with our industry partners
  • Organised, analytical, and tech-savvy with skills in Excel, PowerPoint, data analytics; experience with Compas Crew Management is a bonus
  • Creative mindset for designing standout recruitment campaigns and presentations
  • Professionalism, integrity, resilience, and a genuine commitment to Maersk’s standards and cadet welfare
  • The ability to take initiative and support new projects and deliver results as a team
  • A proactive problem solver with a results-driven mindset

Nice to have

  • A background in psychology for deeper insights into candidate behaviour, motivation, and growth potential is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of data management and analytics to optimize recruitment strategies and track performance metrics
  • An active influencer profile to support engagement on social media platforms, and foster a positive employer brand presence, making it easier to attract a wider and more diverse pool of candidates, amplify in the industry.
