🙌 The role

People Experience [PX] at Learnerbly

The People Experience team at Learnerbly are on a mission to create the best place anyone will ever want to work. We invested in this team early, and the foundations put in place across 2021-22 have put us ahead of many companies 3x our size. Learnerbly’s customers are people in roles just like yours, so your insights will be invaluable to Learnerbly's growth. ✨

Reporting into our COO, Jonny Day 👋, we’re looking for a commercially minded product-orientated People leader who can build on this solid foundation and steer Learnerbly as it continues to grow into new markets like the US.

This role will lead our PX team (3 across Talent Acquisition and Partnering).

What you'll be getting up to:

  • Steering Learnerbly as we target Series B. Evolving our People strategy and mobilising the team to enable company growth.
  • Driving People strategy across a remotely distributed team as we scale into the US, fuelling our Sales & Growth engine; think org design & structure.
  • Contributing PX expertise to our Sales & Marketing teams, as our ideal customer in house, you’ll be a sounding board for them to better refine our approach to People-people just like you.
  • Advising on the best people strategy to unlock high performance in the company.
  • Evolving what a high performance culture looks like at Learnerbly - get ready to trailblaze!
  • Helping us solve the ever elusive remote working challenge; defining our rituals and best practices.
  • Engaging proactively with the wider People community; sharing and open sourcing our culture, learnings, and PX best practice through podcasts, events and articles.
  • Being a community leader of our Learnerbly PX Slack channel, sharing best practice and advice with our members.
  • Being the thought leader for the Learnerbly product, acting as a source of expert guidance to our product, sales, and marketing teams.

This role will be a great fit if:

  • You have already guided a company through a significant growth transition (e.g. Series A B C+), ideally expanding into the US market.
  • You’re already a proven #1 People leader reporting into C-level.
  • You can think big picture and long term but can still roll your sleeves up and do whatever it takes to make your team successful.
  • You’re known for your resourcefulness and getting creative with what levers you have available to you.
  • Using data to inform your decisions and measuring your success comes naturally to you e.g. how do you measure the impact of your team?
  • You're a natural influencer and instil trust with everyone you interact with. You can take people through journeys of change with relative ease.
  • You have knowledge of Agile practices and know how they can be leveraged in the People space.
  • You embrace People Experience as a Product, and let go of traditional HR. 🚀
  • You want to shout to the world about the great work we’re doing and blaze a trail for other People leaders to follow.

Research shows that some people are less likely to apply for a role unless they are 100% qualified. Your experience, skills and passion will set you apart so tell us about your achievements, irrespective of whether they are personal or work-related, tell us about your journey, and about what you learnt.

So, if this role excites you, don't let our role description hold you back, get applying!

We humbly respond to feedback and proactively share advice with others to reveal new insights and accelerate growth. We make the time to support others and are able to ask for help when it's needed to move forward as a team. We celebrate each other's successes because when we win, we win together. And if we don't win, we learn together.
