Job Description

We are looking for an Internal Audit Manager - Technology

Who are we?

Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently. Having written over $877m in gross written premium in 2023, we’ve achieved significant growth since our beginnings in 2021. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. There are hardly any industries left that are mainly paper based, but the Fin Pro, Casualty & Cyber insurance market is one. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers place risk in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities.

What you will be working on

This position will be responsible for the development and execution of Internal Audit Technology initiatives, as well as overseeing the technological components of all Internal Audits, to support Ki's data and digitization efforts across the Ki Group. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, this role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and Internal Audit colleagues to identify key risks, evaluate Ki's management of these risks, and assist in finding solutions to enhance the effectiveness of Ki's technology control environment. You’ll provide independent assurance to the Audit Committee, Executive Committee, and the broader organization that significant technology risks impacting Ki Insurance are being managed effectively through a robust control framework.

About you

You will possess a strong overall educational background with a relevant qualification (such as ACA or equivalent) and demonstrate a commercial mindset. You will have a solid working knowledge of planning and executing audits related to technology, encompassing both business and dedicated IT audits. Additionally, you will be proactive in staying informed about current technology and industry trends. Your experience will include working within a relevant professional services organization, such as an auditing firm, or within a robust operational insurance organization. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the controls necessary for a General Insurance Group, Lloyd’s Managing Agent, and Lloyd’s Syndicate to effectively manage risk.

Our culture

Inclusion & Diversity is at the heart of our business at Ki. We recognise that diversity in age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, thought and social background bring richness to our working environment. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, or who you love, we believe you should be you.
You’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package. This is kept under constant review to make sure it stays relevant. We understand the power of saying thank you and take time to acknowledge and reward extraordinary effort by teams or individuals.

If this sounds like a role and a culture that appeals to you, let us know.
