What we're looking for, in a nutshell:

We are looking for a Business Development Lead in our Commercial function to help to define and lead our new business sales activity.

Your role will be to understand our business and target clients, and to identify new growth opportunities. You will build and execute prospecting campaigns to generate qualified pipeline with new customers and increase client engagement for our business.

Where we are

​As a ​team ​we ​are spread across ​Ireland, the UK, ​Europe and South Africa. This role is a remote ​role to be located within Ireland, with some travel to Dublin where needed.

Who we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you should have previous enterprise sales experience in the technology sector, either in a business development or account management role, and have consistently met or exceeded targets and sales quotas.

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be experienced in driving consensus and approval from senior stakeholders, both internal and external.

Responsibilities

  • Become deeply knowledgeable on our business, our capabilities and what we deliver for our clients and be able to communicate these to our potential clients

  • Build and execute prospecting campaigns and activities

  • Identify net new opportunities and set meetings for commercial team

  • Identify growth opportunities based on market research and trends

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities

  • Contact potential new clients through cold calls and emails

  • Grow our database of clients and prospects

  • Identify, understand and evaluate client needs and be able to drive conversations around appropriate products/services

  • Report to the our Director of Services (weekly/monthly/quarterly)

  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing plans

Requirements and skills

  • At least 3 years experience in a business development, outbound sales or account management in the technology sector

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls, email, social selling and networking)

  • Ability to manage multiple campaign activities at various stages while seeking new opportunities

  • Track record of achieving sales quotas and exceeding targets

  • Proficiency with GSuite and CRM software (e.g. Hubspot) with an aptitude to learn new systems

  • Proficiency with MS Excel (analysing spreadsheets and charts)

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

  • Self motivated, takes initiative and can work independently
