SALARY: £51,000 - £56,500 per annum

Healios Academy Leads form part of the Clinical Leadership and Professional Development Team. This team is made up of highly experienced individuals from a range of clinical backgrounds. Collectively, the team have responsibility to maximise clinical outcomes and effectiveness across all of Healios’ clinical activities through clinical support and quality assurance processes; staff training and development; and service improvement initiatives. Healios Academy provides a training to new and existing staff to support them to deliver a clinical service of the highest possible clinical quality.


We are looking for a Healios Academy Team Lead to work within the Healios Academy, training and developing specialist neurodevelopmental practitioners. To offer additional ongoing training for existing Healios staff with responsibility across neurodevelopmental and mental health clinical delivery. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, teaching and monitoring of the autism and ADHD training and contribute to the academic programme in areas of clinical, teaching and research expertise and to oversee the clinical and academic development of Healios Academy trainees throughout their training.

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • Clinical qualification and registration in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology (Educational, Counselling, Clinical or Forensic) or Teaching

  • Possess a breadth of knowledge within Autism and ADHD demonstrated by work and teaching experience

  • Evidence of teaching experience, ideally in a similar clinical skills role, in curriculum development and quality management

  • At least 3 years post qualification clinical experience with autism and ADHD

  • Trained and experienced in ADOS and/or ADIR

  • Minimum 1 years experience in assessing and/or supporting neurodiverse CYP and/or adults

  • At least 1 years NHS experience

  • Real passion for supporting people to improve their lives

As part of our pre-employment checks, all employees of Healios will be asked to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Dependent on your role within the business, this will either be an Enhanced or Basic. A Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check will be required. You will also be asked to provide two professional references as a minimum.
