Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Goodlord’s mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and we’re on the hunt for a Junior Graphic Designer to help us achieve this.

No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.
Our Marketing team does a fantastic job of building our brand identity and supporting both our commercial and customer teams through savvy navigation of the market landscape. We understand that all of our customers are different and we want to appeal to each of them by developing our brand image and voice. Working alongside our Design Manager, you’ll be the one creating graphics and delivering finished content which the rest of the marketing team will use to drive more leads, grow our brand presence, and provide support to our customers.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing, dynamic, creative team. Your drive and imagination is your limit, not your job title.

What you will be doing:

We’re constantly evolving and growing so no two days will be the same. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced and ever changing environment, where projects might change and priorities shift so that we can capitalise on new opportunities as soon as they present themselves!

On a day to day basis you’ll:

  • Receive and understand project briefs, requirements and concepts
  • Help with creating graphics and assets for social campaigns, which could include:
  • customised social media assets for FB/Linkedin/IG paid and organic posts
  • website assets (banners, pop up images, landing pages, visual support)
  • email designs (layout, assets, headers, footers, gifs)
  • webinar images and graphic assets
  • create various client-facing company docs and marketing collateral
  • new creative layouts for brochures, fliers, guides and templates
  • update existing material to ensure they remain on brand
  • collaborate with team members to launch advertising campaigns and projects
  • Support design manager in all aspects of their work
  • Ensure that all of your finished work meets the needs, requirements, and brand values of the business

And as if that were not exciting enough

  • Every day you will play a key part in shaping the visual elements of the growing Goodlord brand

ABOUT YOU

You should apply if:

  • You’ve got experience working with different types of media (print, digital, multimedia, you name it!)
  • You’ve worked with Adobe Creative Suite, esp. Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop from the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Typography, layout and styling are all your bag
  • You have solid communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • You have an eye for detail, creativity and imagination
  • You are passionate about design research, motivated and have a desire to learn
  • You keep up to date with best practices and trends and technologies within the creative field
  • You appreciate feedback and see it as an opportunity to grow
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

It would also be great if you had:

  • Previous working experience in a SaaS company or an agency
  • Experience in video editing or motion design

ABOUT US

We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, landlord and tenant. We knew generation rent would lead to more tenants, with higher digital expectations and we were confident we could provide a solution.

And we did. Like all high growth companies it’s been a bit of a roller coaster journey, but we’re now stronger than ever, with over 2500 happy customers and exciting new products. We have ambitious plans but with William Reeve at the helm alongside co-founder Tom Mundy and a brilliant team of over 200 talented Goodlordians we are confident we’ll achieve these.

Our values guide our decisions, the way we work, our culture and the people we ask to join the team. We work hard, have fun and support each other. We’re not afraid to make mistakes (we’d never learn if we didn’t) and we’re always looking to challenge ourselves. Our style is collaboration based on honesty, friendship and respect.

And we’re proud to have been recognised as a Great Place to work. No one likes a show off, but we can’t not shout about this. We’ve worked hard to make Goodlord great, and it’s important you know this isn’t just words on paper; Goodlordians have validated this which has led to us being accredited:

  • 9th in Deloitte’s UK Technology Fast 50
  • 10th Great Place to Work in the UK large-sized businesses
  • Top 100 flexible employer 2022
  • Verified by Flexa as a Flexified employer
