Job Description

We are focused on delivering great customer experiences and this role is a fundamental part of this.

In this role, you’ll work with experienced QA (Quality Assurance) Engineers and our Site Support Lead to ensure that digital products leaving our studio are of the highest quality. You’ll spend time testing websites, Apps, API’s and more, learning from an experienced QA Engineer how to ‘break’ stuff - finding bugs in code, and ensuring that the product acceptance criteria are met - i.e. are the expected outcomes of a user story as expected.

In addition, you’ll work with the Site Support Lead to ensure our clients have the best possible experience. You will be the go-to person for our clients when they need support with their sites. This can be anything from helping them to log in, uploading content and triaging bugs through to training.

Working across our QA, Testing and Support function will provide a great training ground in getting you to grips with CMS systems, basic code (you can tinker with more complex code, and spend time learning from our established dev team too, should the appetite be there). You’ll get exposure to the delivery of a range of projects and products - giving you excellent grounding for a career in the digital product space. You’ll spend your first couple of years at Freestyle really getting to grips with all of the above, with future career opportunities leading to continued progression within QA and Testing, Technical Project Management, Development and Engineering and more!

This is a role and environment that would suit graduates who have studied for degrees such as:

  • Digital and Technology Solutions
  • Information Technology for Business
  • Interactive Media and Web Development/Technologies
  • Digital Technologies
  • FinTech
  • Computer Science
  • Product Design
  • Project Management
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality

You will enjoy the challenges of working in a fast-paced environment and deploying your skills in innovative ways. We will help you develop your skills, and you’ll work with experts across development, delivery and project management, QA and more.

🧑🏽‍💻The ideal candidate will have a passion and interest in digital and technology (maybe you tinker with websites on the side, or you just like learning new technologies) - and a desire to build a hands-on career in this space.

Whilst we don’t expect you to have all these skills today, you will quickly be able to work effectively in the following ways:

  • Great communication skills, dealing effectively with clients on the phone and in writing.
  • Good attention to detail and attentive listening skills
  • Able to interrogate a problem to discover the best route.
  • Have some experience using Enterprise CMS platforms (e.g. Episerver and Sitecore) and Open Source platforms (e.g. Umbraco and WordPress).
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS – in order to be able to make minor amends and better understand the development team requirements.
  • Use of project management tools such as Jira and Forecast
  • Using and developing your marketing skills.
