Job Description

THE TEAM

Our awesome Legal Team is small but mighty, with responsibility for corporate, commercial, employment, intellectual property, regulatory and tax matters both in the UK and internationally.

We are a team of payments enthusiasts and long-term relationship builders who find win/win outcomes, as opposed to just reciting the law. We’re a close-knit group with a very open and direct communication style. We have a collaborative and personal approach, where sharing ideas both externally and internally is key to our success. You would not just be a cog and our apprentice programme provides participants access to senior stakeholders (management, investors and customers) across the business at a very early stage in their careers.

The team has a flexible working policy with an emphasis placed on 'what you do' and 'why you do it', as opposed to 'when you do it'.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?

  • A desire to pursue a career in law, demonstrated in your CV or cover letter
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A good eye for detail
  • Strong organisation and time management abilities
  • Creative thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Motivated with a strong commitment to learning
  • Desire to provide excellent client service
  • A minimum of three A Levels (A, B, B) in addition to 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including English and Maths.

WHAT WILL THE ROLE ENTAIL?

You'll spend four days a week working for us and one day a week studying with the apprenticeship education provider. Your day-to-day work might include:

  • Researching legal information across a variety of matters
  • Contract management
  • Database management
  • Company secretarial matters
  • Instructing and co-ordinating external counsel
  • Supporting in the drafting of documentation for clients and employees
  • Litigation
