With a branded website, mobile app, or self-service kiosk powered by Flipdish’s world-class technology, hospitality brands can directly accept digital orders without having to list on marketplace platforms.

Role

Due to our continued growth, Flipdish is seeking a Software Engineer (React Native) to join our Terminal team. The Terminal team is responsible for a mobile application that is used by our clients to accept orders and manage their stores easily without having to log in to the web portal. This is a great opportunity to help grow the team using past experiences to help improve our product.

The successful candidate for this role will be looking for an exciting new opportunity in a hyper-growth environment. You should have a passion for technology and be willing to take on new challenges and input to the company’s growth.

You will:

• Enhance our existing React Native Terminal application
• Take ownership of features and projects you create, from planning through execution
• Improve automated tests, observability, alerting, and modularity
• Create a high-quality user experience for our clients

Candidate Profile

About You

• Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication abilities
• Ability to work with different teams, prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently
• Natural inclination to continually improve our technical stack and ways of working
• Quality-focused mindset
• Strive to automate everything you do
• Passion for user experience with the ability to work closely with designers, product managers and other engineers to design product experiences which delight our users
• You enjoy solving puzzles
• Strong experience with some or all of the following:
• React-Native with Typescript
• React
• Redux
• Webpack
• Jest & Testing Library

Highly Desirable

• Proficiency in writing unit, functional and integration tests for mobile applications
• Knowledge of tools and practices for monitoring, testing, and debugging mobile apps
• Experience making decisions about mobile application architecture
• Have integrated with hardware components in a React Native app
