Role Summary

The Chief Product Officer (CPO) will join as part of FitXR’s Senior Management, who together with their teams, are working collaboratively to define and deliver an exciting 3 year plan and beyond. This person will be committed to delivering greatness across the vision, strategy and roadmap for Product and Product Design related work streams. You will be a leader who closely aligns to our Principles of Play and using these principles; a person who is motivated to inspire and develop a team of highly capable Product Managers and Product Designers. Most importantly, we are seeking to hire a person who lives and breathes product management; an aspirational thinker with a passion for detail who is fully committed to developing FitXR’s sustainable, high performance culture.


  • In collaboration with the CEO & Senior Management team, co-create our 3 year plan
  • Work with SMT to ensure all teams (Product, Engineering, Content…) are resourced sufficiently to deliver their OKRs against the 3 year plan
  • Alignment of the product vision, strategy and roadmap communicating clear priorities, trade-offs, opportunity costs, ROI
  • Create and drive best-in-class product management processes, selecting the appropriate team, tools and systems in order to deliver high quality & consistent output
  • Take a community first approach when looking at roadmap iterations; use customer data and insight to make informed decisions
  • Working with the Product Managers and Product Designers to define their mission statements, ensuring that the team understand how these ladder to company-wide objectives
  • Work closely with the People team to recruit, retain and development a diverse team of Product Managers and Product Designers

Skills & Experience

  • Compelled to deliver a best-in-class product management process- be aspirational, highly collaborative and drive sustainable high performance across the whole organisation
  • Embodies our Principles of Play and is highly additive culturally for the business
  • Honest, authentic and candid approach to team leadership
  • High EQ, able to face into potentially difficult conversations with empathy & transparency
  • Thrives in a remote-first culture and has experience of motivating and growing a team in a digital environment
  • Experience leading a service based product development and operations, including relevant years in a leadership role required
  • VR or Native mobile app experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working on an app store product that offers subscription or in-app purchases is highly desirable
  • Data-first approach to all decision making
  • Strong consumer focused product experience, ideally at a high-growth startup
  • Strong communicator, can see where communication gaps exists and you can fix them immediately
  • Have strong experience of scrum framework and agile methodologies;

What you’ll be measured on

  • Efficient management and completion of product OKRs and KPIs including our North Star Metric, Retention and Churn
  • Ability to prioritise the right thing at the right time. This should be reflected in the KPIs
  • Team growth and attrition rate
