Job Description
After almost 1 year in Germany, we can safely say that we have a strong product market fit. We now want to accelerate there! In order to achieve our targets, lead generation & outbound sales will be critical, and we need someone 100% focused on it.
That’s where you come in! If you’re an entrepreneurial and driven BDR looking for that kind of adventure, keep reading, because we’d love you to consider being one of the founding members of our German team ✨
✨ The most exciting parts
- One of the first 💃🏾 We've started building our BDR team in France and in the UK and we are looking to replicate big success with it in Germany. We’ll need to adapt our methods, and a lot is still to be built on processes & way to work: it's a clean slate for a BDR to try and test new approaches and make it their own. You’ll be able to have a tangible contribution to the sales strategy: you'll work closely with Sarah our Country Lead to build up the sales playbook, as well as develop the product and pricing. There’s no better time to join!
- Huge impact 🙌 You’ll bring the first real-time compensation benchmark to German companies, which will bring them tons of value and will help reduce market inequalities (and that will be all thanks to you!).
- Early stage + strong Product Market Fit = 🔥 You’ll experience huge personal growth. As we are growing very fast, Figures will offer tons of opportunities: you could develop into anything you want (Sales Manager, Account Executive, Chief of Staff, or even as entrepreneur/founder externally!).
- Nice teammates & positive impact 🙏🏽 We take our “Why so serious?” value seriously, and we are proud to help reduce inequalities by bringing transparency around compensation.
- Taking risks means high rewards 🤑 Your equity grant will have a big potential financial upside.
🔮 About us
Figures was created in October 2020 by Virgile, who was fed up with not having relevant compensation data for the start-up market in France, which led to endless discussions, negotiations, and therefore tons of internal inequality.
Joined by Bastien quickly after, they tackled this issue by creating the first compensation benchmark product for start-ups & scale-ups in France.
With 1000+ clients across Europe as of today, we can safely say that we found our Product Market Fit.
Our goal is now two-fold:
- Cement our position as the main European compensation benchmarking product for start-ups & scale-ups.
- Expand our product from pure benchmarking to compensation management as a whole.
Here is a short video about our mission & product 👇
🛠️ Your role
You’ll generate qualified leads (mostly via outbound) in order to grow our revenue & acquire new datapoints in Germany. You’ll also educate our ICP (startups & scale-ups but also tech-driven companies) about our solution.
Your main missions will be:
- Own & determine our outbound strategy and make it evolve (with Sarah’s support).
- Cold outreach: regularly launch automated, human-centered outreach campaigns to generate qualified leads.
- Nurture inbound leads generated by our marketing team.
- Develop creative strategies to target decision-makers and overcome objections in order to book sales appointments.
- Tooling: iterate on our stack, implement new tools and automate things as much as possible.
- Work together with our Account Manager & CSM team in order to generate new business opportunities (via referrals from clients).
- Structure feedback to provide to our Product Team (e.g. features desired by prospects & clients, helping prioritize development, etc.).
- Lead some conversations / sales calls with prospects (e.g. full sales cycle for small accounts <20 employees).
🧩 What we look for
- High Junior to high Intermediate level: at least one first successful experience as a BDR or SDR.
- Great copywriting skills: you are used to doing cold outreach via LinkedIn & emails in German and English.
- Pipeline management: rigorous and structured approach.
- Tools: you are at ease with automation software and you know how to automate things.
- Great understanding of German business culture.
- Highly-motivated to learn, develop your sales skills and join a fast-growing start-up 🙌
- Alignment with our values: you have a strong sense of ownership, you are pragmatic & you are at ease to give and receive feedback (while not taking yourself too seriously!).
- (Near-) native level in German AND fluent in English (we are building an international team).
- Ideally, you are based in Germany (close to our customers). But you can also live in one of the following countries: France, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, UK, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary or Serbia (or willing to relocate).
- You can spend 3 days every 2 months with the whole team in our office in Paris.
Nice to haves (but they are really not mandatory):
- [Big plus] Past experience with HR topics
- SaaS BtoB experience
- Experienced with SMBs sales
- Has already sold to our personas (Head of HR, CFOs)
- HRTech experience
💰 Compensation & Perks 🎁
You can find all details about our compensation policy here.
- On-market salary. We target the market's 50th percentile using data from the best benchmark on the market.
👉🏼 The estimated salary for this role, for someone based in Germany, is between €54,000 and €67,500 OTE (including a 40-50k base salary). Of course that could be adjusted for any outlier profile!
👉🏼 For people who live outside of Germany, we adjust the compensation based on our Global Salary Convertor’s cost of labor.
- Above-market equity. We allocate 14% of our company towards employee grants, which is considerably above market practices (the average equity pool size is a bit less than 10%).

- Company incentive program (profit sharing plan).
👉🏼 Up to €3,000!
👉🏼 We do believe in a collective sharing of Figures' success. The purpose of this bonus is to associate employees collectively with the results and/or performance of the company.
- Above-market benefits & perks.
👉🏼 1-month parental leave for the second parent paid at 100% of the salary.
👉🏼 1-month worked part-time (50%) but paid at 100% when returning from maternity leave.
