THE ROLEThis role will be accountable for guiding the Planning & Performance team to deliver robust, accurate and flexible GTV and revenue forecasts to enable a confident understanding of the business outlook over the near and medium term under a number of scenarios. They will translate our FARFETCH.com Range Plan (being led by our Merchandising team) into an actionable Supply Plan that preemptively identifies gaps in our supply base and informs our programme of Commercial incentives and partner lending to drive the growth of our most-needed supply. Finally, they will be responsible for reviewing performance on a weekly basis and highlighting key drivers, as well as maintaining a portfolio of analyses of the structural factors impacting our growth or profitability performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Bring together this newly formed team and create the structure, responsibilities and processes to drive exceptional planning, driving a culture of accountability across the team and its stakeholders
  • Develop and consolidate flexible scenario-based models to forecast GTV, Revenue and Supply Intake, owning the outlooks used for quarterly, annual and budget planning
  • Translate the Merchandise-led Range Plan into an actionable Supply Plan in order to identify areas of risk and opportunity within our Supply base
  • Work with colleagues in Production Operations to build capacity plan and prioritisation approaches are aligned to Commercial needs
  • Oversee our Commercial Incentives and FARFETCH Capital programmes with a focus on efficient deployment of budget to drive 3P Supply growth and improve partner perception of the FARFETCH commercial offer
  • Develop the toolkit to rapidly diagnose short-term trading performance and support the team to prepare executive-level summaries of the key drivers of trading performance
  • Lead a team to analyse the structural drivers of performance of key business segments (e.g. markets, channels, customer groups, brands) and recommend specific actions to accelerate growth or profitability improvements
  • Manage a team of Analysts - Senior Managers, driving the bi-annual planning/goal setting and performance management processes

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Structured, analytical problem solver with significant retail, luxury or marketplace experience
  • Competent user of SQL, familiar with enterprise-grade reporting tools (Looker experience a plus)
  • Hyper-focussed on identifying the most actionable problem spaces and consistently encourages their team to translate analysis into tangible action
  • Experience developing data-driven forecasting models, ideally with data science teams
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce (ideally marketplace) dynamics, economics and P&L management
  • Expert in stakeholder management across all levels
  • Lead & develop high-performing teams, championing and fostering a growth mindset, recognising excellence and challenging underperformance
  • Experience shaping and structuring teams, defining team remit and fostering collaborative cross-functional working at the leadership and operational level
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills

The Senior Head of Planning and Performance will oversee the teams responsible all aspects of GTV, Supply and revenue planning on the FARFETCH Marketplace, own the commercial incentives and partner-lending programme (Farfetch Capital) and prepare regular analysis on the short and long term drivers of business performance (growth and profitability) for an exec audience
