DELHI NCROur India office is located in a premium coworking space, situated in the heart of Gurgaon's Two Horizon Centre. It offers a unique community experience with global enterprises, unlimited coffee, Chai point counters, a pool table, and a karaoke room. The office is a growing tech hub of Farfetchers from our Infrastructure and Data teams.
THE ROLEAre you interested in building and operating a large Data Platform in the cloud? In the Farfetch Data Platform Foundations team, our mission is to provide data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data analysts with a best in class cloud-based data platform to ingest, store, analyze train models, and much more. We build self-service infrastructure products that are secure, scalable, fault-tolerant, low-cost, and easy to manage and use. We are building an elite team of data infrastructure engineers working on ambitious initiatives to keep pace with the increasing demand for data services.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer, who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users, and has excellent cloud engineering and programming skills, to join our fast-growing data platform, infrastructure team.
As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be working to support, automate and improve the infrastructure that underpins Farfetch’s Data Platform. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, administration, and operations necessary to reliably run critical data platform infrastructure in the Azure Cloud environment at scale.

What you'll do

• Automate away as much of the day-to-day as possible.
• Build, improve and maintain reliable infrastructure in Azure Cloud using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Research and investigate new technologies and tools and help drive new features, abilities and improvements into the data infrastructure
• Work closely and collaboratively with our users to resolve production and engineering problems and assist them in the design, implementation, and management of their workloads that run on Kubernetes and other Azure cloud services
• Respond to issues, review Github pull requests from other teams, and provide helpful feedback
• Be part of the on-call rota, guaranteeing availability 24/7 when on shift

Who you are

• Passionate about data and cloud infrastructure and challenges at scale
• Experience with GitOps methodology and tools such as ArgoCD, Kustomize, and HelmExperience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Atlantis
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, and networking technologies) and troubleshooting techniques
• Take ownership and responsibility for tasks throughout the development cycle
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
