OPERATIONS

THE ROLE
Farfetch & NGG are implementing a European distribution centre (DC) in Roermond, the Netherlands, which will fulfil products for the European market. The purpose of the Head of warehouse is to manage the operational and financial performance of our 3PL fulfillment center through building strong relationships with the 3PL and leading a team of two. Initially the focus of this role is to support in the go-live of the fulfillment operation for B2C & B2B customers within Europe as well as supporting the Snr Head of Operations (based in the UK) in building a local Farfetch Operations team in the area, giving this role massive growth potential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Contract management on a day to day basis of our 3PL, ensuring SLA’s are met.
• Responsibility for operation’s P&L ensuring that CPU targets are achieved.
• Partner with key functions across the global representing the NGG operational team including: merchandising, buying, web operations, transport, warehouse, retail and finances.
• Building a local operational team which will supervise the 3PL operation
• Build strong relationships with the 3PL
• Monitor 3PL activity on a daily basis in order to flag and escalate any technology integration factors affecting the service for our customers.
• Manage B2B operations within the warehouse.
• Work with the supply chain and planning functions on forward planning and capacities, sharing information with our 3PL to prepare for a capable operation.
• Able to engage with the global team through occasional travel to UK and EU.
• Work with the Product & Tech Team to implement efficient business processes and prepare the business for change through system integrations.
• Organise and supervise full annual stock take in all business locations following all SOX requirements.

WHO YOU ARE

• Background in sport industry.
• Previous experience managing facilities handling double digital millions of units a year
• Detailed understanding of online fulfillment operations (warehouse) and B2B wholesale from inhouse or 3PL operational management experience.
• Experience of working in an open book contract management environment.
• Experience working with WMS and scaling a warehouse operation.
• Automation experience desirable.
• Strongly numerical skills; comfortable manipulating and interpreting data sets and communicating insights and actions to stakeholders in a meaningful way.
• Strong attention to detail and investigative nature.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
