FINANCE

We're a global team with a presence in all of our locations around the world. Our biggest teams are based in the UK and Portugal. Our team in Porto focuses on financial reporting and operations, while the Group Finance team in London is made up of Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Commercial Finance. All of our teams play an instrumental role within the business, from developing best practice, delivering strategic projects and helping us to tell our story with data.

LONDON

Our office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub. With an open-plan space, ideal for collaborative working, an outdoor terrace for a team lunch, or a dedicated studio for a yoga class.

THE ROLE

The Group External Reporting Manager will report to the Senior Group Reporting Manager. You will support the key activities of the team, including management of elements of the Group's External Reporting process to deliver the Group's annual and quarterly SEC filings. You will be a key point of contact for technical questions arising from the various Finance teams of the Group (including Accounting and Corporate Development), and will support the delivery of ad hoc technical advice and relevant training throughout the year. You will need to thrive under the pressures of project-based work, enjoying working in a truly global team and enjoy taking job ownership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • You will play an integral part in planning and coordinating the External Reporting team efforts to deliver the Group's earnings releases and quarterly/annual financial reports, including the preparation of financial statement disclosure.
  • You will support the preparation of the quarterly audit committee slides.
  • You will lead the preparation of key technical accounting memorandums and our annual impairment testing process.
  • Outside of the quarter-end and year-end process, you will lead on various ad-hoc finance projects from new accounting standards, to new contracts and M&A activity.
  • You will support the external audit process, liaising with the auditors on key topics.
  • You will assist on transformation projects impacting External Reporting.
  • You will manage compliance with SOX controls to ensure External Reporting controls are completed and evidenced in line with requirements.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have an ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent and 3 years+ PQE.
  • You have a high level of IFRS technical knowledge ideally in the fields of M&A, valuations and/or consolidation. Prior experience of impairment models would be beneficial.
  • You have listed company group reporting experience either from practice or industry, with having both practice and industry listed reporting experience preferable.
  • Prior SEC experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • You can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience of similar working environments would be ideal.
