We're a creative team inclusive of Social Media, Editorial, Communications and Brand streams. We are focused on putting Browns on the map by curating and cultivating unique brand experiences in Browns distinct tone of voice. LONDON
Our London Head Office is based in Old Street, London's tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Ecommerce, Tech & Product, Brand Engagement, Buying, Merchandising and People more. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideals, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Editorial, the Creative Content Editor owns all content and programming that reflects Browns brand values and point of view through our editorial platform. You will develop the weekly homepage and newsletter calendar across womenswear and menswear channels and achieve a commercially and creatively exciting features strategy to engage and inspire the Browns audience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You will plan and deliver the weekly homepage and Editorial newsletter calendar
- You will conceptualise and develop high-quality feature content that respects our brand point of view, editorial direction, and goals.
- You will identify and build a network of creative collaborators, with a focus on writers and journalists, that can be commissioned (by yourself) for approved pitches.
- You will manage the Editorial commissioning budget.
- You will provide editing feedback and mentorship to wider writers within the business.
- You will be the editorial lead on selected strategic partnerships and special projects, driving content through from conception to completion, collaborating with partners.
- You will partner with the Head of Editorial to redefine the brand guidelines and tone of voice, and act as the guardian of tone of voice across written content on all digital platforms
WHO YOU ARE
- You have relevant experience as a writer, editor or journalist.
- You have excellent written and verbal English skills.
- You are an expert in grammar, punctuation and a general wordsmith.
- You have an exhaustive knowledge of/interest in womenswear, menswear, popular culture and the luxury industry.
- You have a comprehensive knowledge of online editorial best practices, including an understanding of SEO.
- You have relationships with a diverse range of writers and journalists.
