THE ROLEReporting directly to the Localisation Lead - German, you will localise product and operational content into German. You will ensure that our copy is customer-centric, effective and tailored across all FARFETCH channels, whilst capturing and protecting the FARFETCH tone of voice. This is a full-time position. You will benefit from working with a large multilingual team of around 120+ employees within FARFETCH, which will present unique opportunities to work with various departments and to learn cutting-edge localisation tools.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will be copywriting and localising various content including UX copy (Onsite, iOS and Android), service pages, partner communications and SEO content
  • You will leverage Translation Memories and Neural Machine Translation to create content that is accurate and engaging
  • You will support the team in transcreating marketing content when needed
  • You will become a quality guardian for our German ToV and ensure all copy follows our in-house Style Guides
  • You will work closely with other content creators to bring new ideas to optimise content as well as to identify areas for improvement

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience in content localisation/writing is preferred but a linguistics graduate with a passion to move their career into fashion will also be considered
  • You are proficient in German (native speaker) and have a good level of fluency in English
  • You are great with words and can adapt your writing style to suit specific content
  • You can work to tight deadlines and still deliver accurate and natural translations
  • You enjoy collaborating and working alongside multiple stakeholders
  • You have good knowledge of the luxury fashion e-commerce landscape in Germany, its players and consumers
  • You are comfortable with digital work on an in-house CMS
