The Company

On November 29, 2021, we acquired the Business to Consumer (B2C) business of Aspire Global plc . The B2C business adds a portfolio of distinctive proprietary brands focused primarily on igaming, which is online casino and table games such as blackjack, virtual sport computer simulated games and slot machines, as well as traditional sports betting.

The Accountants Assistant will be joining an organisation at an exciting rapid growth phase, to our expanding business across multiple markets and service offerings.

The Role

This is a newly created role to support our growing business. The ideal candidate would be a confident accountant who is dedicated to getting the job done. You may be early in your career or have more experience, but you are motivated to support a growing business.

EBET is primarily a virtual company with over 80 FTE’s including employees in the US, Ireland, Malta, Gibraltar and Israel; as well as contractors in eastern and continental Europe and the UK. We have offices in city centre, but as we are a virtual company, your place of work will be your home or a hybrid home/office model.

The Accounts Assistant will be a key member of the Finance Team, and will report to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for key parts of the accounting function including bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and payments of suppliers.
• Management of Accounts Payable including inputting invoices, statement reconciliations and processing payments.
• Monthly payroll preparation for all group entities (US, Malta, Ireland) and filing of related tax returns
• Assist in the preparation of the VAT returns
• Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in the implementation of a new accounting system
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Additional responsibilities as required as the role and organization grow and evolve.

About You:

• You will likely to be working towards an accountancy qualification.
• You will be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
• You will have a track record of hands-on activity and achievement of goals, able to have a flexible, can-do attitude, combined with a high degree of resilience and a maturity of judgement.
• You will also have a strong team focus, calm demeanour, and a capacity to have some fun at work.
