Day to day we’ll trust you to:

Take Emerald’s Digital Standards into consideration from ideation through to delivery.

· Work with the wider team in the execution of the product visions by researching, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing, ensuring our platforms are accessible to all users. ·

· Ensure appropriate research methods are used to obtain the required outcomes including stakeholder interviews, remote usability tests, ethnographic studies, and other appropriate methodologies.

· Champion an experimental approach to development working closely & collaboratively with the wider team to continuously look for opportunities to maximise the experience using Google Optimize and Hotjar.

· Work on nondigital related UX activities, to ensure all aspects of the users’ eco-system are taken into consideration.

You’ll need to have:

Expertise in UX software (e.g. Adobe XD, Figma, Hotjar, Google Optimize).

· Experience of creating strong interaction design, with a good understanding of web accessibility standards WCAG and inclusive design.

· Strong visual design skills, with a good track record of user interface design.

· Strong experience of working with developers in the implementation of visual assets.

· Strong experience of working with and developing visual style guides and design systems, optimising the re-use of visual assets where appropriate to ensure visual consistency.

· The ability to lead in the design of end-to-end product design initiatives, including both remote and on-site user research.

· The ability to extract detailed UX requirements from both internal and external stakeholders, and translate these into elegant, customer-focused product designs.

It’s more than just skills and experience, this is what we’d like to see:

· A passion for keeping up to date with the latest in UX and visual design trends with a clear understanding of current and emerging trends in digital product development.

· The drive to take ownership for delivering projects to a high-standard, proactively engaging with end users to ensure the solutions are meeting genuine market need.

What’s in it for you?

You will be working alongside a team of passionate UX and digital professionals, we pride ourselves on placing the user at the centre of everything that we do. We adopt a collaborative and supportive approach to work, working together to reach the appropriate outcomes for our users. So don’t scroll on by if you’re thinking you’re not an exact match.
