Job Description

eduMe is a mobile-based training platform for the deskless workforce, used by modern companies in more than 60 countries worldwide. By providing their workforce with seamless access to relevant knowledge, companies like Uber, Gopuff, Deliveroo, Gorillas and Vodafone are enabling their people to achieve Workforce Success.

The Team:

Our Engineering team is split into three squads to better support our product development and to improve collaboration with our designers on discovery work. We're hiring for talented individuals to join the mission across our three squads:

  • Core Learning: to build the best end to end experience of the core part of the product to enable smooth content consumption, content generation and monitoring of learning activity.
  • Growth: to reduce the time and effort to access out USP, and increase frequency of usage by introducing and optimising features outside of core learning to support new use cases
  • Platform: to make eduMe a platform that is reliable, scalable and easy to integrate with other systems

As Engineering Manager, you’ll work closely with the engineers in your tribe to prioritise work, facilitate collaboration and technical decision making, remove barriers, and set them up for success.

What you’ll do:

  • Hire, on-board, and develop great people for your squads
  • Maintain a collaborative, supportive, and engaging squad culture
  • Enable your squads to successfully deliver technical work
  • Inspire, mentor, and build strong relationships with the members of your tribe
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Product Design to deliver best-in-class software products
  • Contribute significantly to our ways of working as we scale and grow

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in people and team management, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience collaborating closely with technical leaders, product team members, and other areas of the business to deliver on product objectives
  • Significant experience as a software engineer in an agile and cross-functional environment
  • Experience working effectively with both remote and office-based teams
  • Strong ability to communicate and work with technical and non-technical people alike

What we’ll offer you:

  • 25 days of paid leave a year, plus bank holidays, with the option to carry 5 days over
  • Inclusion in the company share option plan - you're a part of the success!
  • Flexible working to support you, your life, and those around you, supported by £500 to set up your home working environment for comfort and success
  • On top of the above, we offer every employee the chance to spend a month working from anywhere around the globe, every year
  • Mental health support and video therapy through Spill
  • £500 per year to spend on whatever you need to support your health & wellbeing, through Juno
  • Enhanced parental leave for primary and secondary carers
  • Enhanced sick pay
  • £500 annual personal learning and education budget
  • £75 every quarter to spend on socialising with your team
  • Monthly company-wide social events
  • We take the whole company abroad for a multi-day off-site every year!

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At eduMe, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles!
