About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Management Accountant to join the Finance team here at Currencycloud. The role contains great variety, and offers the chance to take responsibility for some key processes and deliverables while getting significant exposure to working within a high growth business. Our Finance function is going through a significant period of transformation after our acquisition, and this position will make a key contribution towards this.
Responsible for monthly payroll accounting, including translating payroll reports into journals
Work closely with our Tax Manager in preparing VAT returns and on designing procedures to maintain compliance with other indirect taxes
Complete high quality balance sheet reconciliations and track resolution of differences identified
Build and maintain our short term cash forecast and take the lead on initiatives that can improve our working capital cycle
Help execute accounts payable payment runs across our global network of suppliers
Produce monthly financial reporting
Provide support for monthly payroll input and processing
Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects within the Finance team and wider business, including our post-acquisition integration with Visa
Assist in liaising with and providing information to auditors
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and high level of numeracy
Experience of the principles of payroll accounting and how monthly payroll runs are completed
Prior involvement in preparing UK VAT returns and an understanding of the key inputs required for them to be completed
Self starter with proven ability to take on challenges and solve problems with practical solutions
Able to prioritise high volume workload and have shown excellent planning and organisational skills
Be a solid team player, willing to support other team members as required
Be studying towards an accountancy qualification, study support is available to support you in completing this
