Cobalt is the world's largest pentesting platform delivering thousands of pentest per year. Cobalt’s Pentest as a Service (PtaaS) platform is modernizing traditional pentesting. By combining a SaaS platform with an exclusive community of testers, we deliver the real-time insights you need to remediate risk quickly and innovate securely. We see the Pentest as a Service model as a first step in our vision to create a new interface to the security workforce. We have seen tremendous traction over the years and today, have 1000+ customers on Cobalt’s platform.

We are a remote-first with local hubs in Boston, Berlin, and San Francisco. We have Scandinavian roots, an American base and a global outlook. Our team is characterized by a fun, fast-paced and collaborative culture based on individual responsibility and ownership.

In August 2020, secured $29M in a Series B led by Highland Europe, bringing their total funding raised to $45M. The new funding will go towards expanding global usage and continuing development of the Cobalt platform, which pioneered the Penetration test as a Service (PtaaS) model.


The SVP will be part of the executive leadership team and will report to Chris Manton-Jones, CEO. She/He will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of all sales initiatives and will ensure short and long-term revenue expansion, including setting the strategic direction to meet revenue goals, while identifying and pursuing new revenue streams.

What You'll Do

  • Hire, onboard, retain, and develop a world-class decentralized sales team.
  • Develop a clear multichannel go-to-market strategy that shows how she/he will be able to effectively scale revenue growth by accelerating their high-velocity GTM model while strategically closing enterprise accounts. and to increase ACVs.
  • Assess and improve upon current sales processes, methodologies, infrastructure and metrics to optimize performance of the sales organization.
  • Define and implement operational metrics and KPIs that measure, optimize, and continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of sales programs, tactics, and strategy.
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the 40+ global sales organization to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue growth targets by establishing sales quotas and holding the team accountable to efficiently hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in key product functionality.

You Have

  • Proven success leading sales teams for high-growth B2B SaaS businesses, with specific experience growing a revenue stream from $25M to $100M+.
  • A sales executive with a background in B2B SaaS selling into IT personas (CTO, CISO, etc,).
  • People-first person who can recruit, hire, and develop a diverse and inclusive decentralized sales team to meet ambitious goals.
  • Ability to operate in a hyper-growth environment and understand both the complexity and challenges of navigating revenue generating functions through this phase of its lifecycle.
  • Experienced and credible in building valuable relationships with senior leaders & decision-makers in enterprise businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop team structures, performance measurements, and forecasting systems.
  • A strong leader and motivator with proven success in building a world-class, global sales team with proven, repeatable methodologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, both domestically and internationally. Prior experience working with an internationally distributed company is a plus.
