About Us

Chordata is positioned as the future of animal health in response to challenges faced by farmers, pet owners and vets. We are passionate about animal health and our goal is to create an integrated health microchip for companion animals and livestock.

We are creating the first integrated health microchip for livestock and companion animals with daily, real time data and animal-specific health alerts for farmers, vets and pet owners. Real time access to crucial information will help early detection of disease,  reduce monitoring costs, enable telemedicine and improve animal wellbeing worldwide.

We’re at an exciting stage of our journey having secured seed funding with a clear pathway to Series A investment mapped out over the next year. Our hardware proof of concept is complete and prototyping is underway, our market ready product is scheduled for launch in 2023.

So, we’re looking for platform engineers and developers with experience in full lifecycle product development and deployment to join our small team and play a vital role in building and launching our new data analytics platform and all round product capabilities from collection to analytics to presentation to billing.

What you’ll be doing:

• Turning business visions into working software
• Taking responsibility for multiple areas of the data platform
• Recommending frameworks and products
• Building APIs
• Integrating third party services
• Scaling our data platform
• Collaborating on new features, and designing solutions to business needs
• Deploying software using CI/CD best practices
• Supporting Data Scientists to deploy analytics

Who you’ll be working with

You will be a part of the core development team which is expected to grow with Chordata’s rapid expansion.

You’ll be working with other team members on the platform, also with the Front End development team and Data Science team.

We value experience, enthusiasm for new technologies and delivering working software. We are also super open to new ideas and improved ways of scaling our data platform.

• Experienced lead software engineer
• Taken responsibility for choosing technical solutions
• Track record of delivery
• Enjoys working on go to market solutions
• Able to work with general requirements, turning them into product design
• Good at communicating with non-technical people in conveying reasons behind choices and potential solutions
• Interested in technology and keep up to date with new products, languages and services
