Job Description

About carwow

Buying or selling a car shouldn’t be difficult! That’s why here at carwow we are on a mission to change the way people buy a car by creating the world’s best online car marketplace. We're not all petrolheads - just a highly driven (excuse the pun) scale-up with over 350 carwowers in the UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal .

Since starting our journey in 2011, we’ve grown to become one of the most trusted comparison sites with over 12 million users and a Trustpilot rating of 4.7. We are also very proud to be backed by some of Europe’s most respected technology, marketplace and automotive investors.

Working here

At carwow, we aim to create a culture where our team can thrive no matter where or how they work. With hybrid working (1-2 days in the office although more if you like), and a healthy home office budget of 550€, we are also open to looking at alternative working patterns to ensure carwowers can work in a way that works best for them.

We’re also a curious bunch and benefit from a number of different training opportunities. We are big on celebrating successes, working collaboratively and have found lots of ways to stay connected as a team both virtually and in person.

With a team of over 25 different nationalities, we know a diverse and inclusive workforce creates a more innovative company. We have work to do to get us where we’d like to be, but are working hard to get there and have a number of key DE&I initiatives underway.

So, if you always aim to WOW through everything you do (check out more info about our values here), we’d love you to join us on our journey.

About the role

The product localisation manager carwow ES is responsible for our product market fit in Spain. This role will be part of the Marketplace team, reporting to the Head of the department. Among the responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with stakeholders in the Spanish market and our international product teams, ensuring that the needs of our Spanish customers are taken into account and that we develop the right product for our market.
  • You talk to customers, resellers and manufacturers as well as internal stakeholders (e.g. account management), conduct user research and in-depth user analysis and constantly monitor the competition.
  • You always see our product from a business perspective - you understand exactly what economic success means to us and how we can further increase it, for example by identifying the most important performance drivers and developing measures to implement them.
  • By communicating these findings and the derived recommendations, you have a significant influence on the short- and long-term prioritisation, as well as the strategic planning of the product teams.
  • Together with our product managers and designers, you will develop concepts, designs and roadmaps for new features and will always be available as a sparring partner to represent the Spanish market's point of view.
  • You will accompany new functions until release, take care of translations and quality checks and ensure that our product is maintained and updated in the long term. You solve bugs and localization problems directly with the right product teams. You will conduct simple A/B tests and user research yourself.

Requirements

Please note: We know that no candidate will be the perfect match for all we've listed in this posting, so we’d encourage you to apply if you feel you're close to the brief but not an exact match.

  • You have an academic degree in a natural science, business or similar field of study.
  • You already have at least 2 years of related experience (e.g, product/project/program manager in a growth-oriented tech business, consulting)
  • You have an agile mindset with a strong customer focus, and are fundamentally collaborative, iterative, and hypothesis-driven in your approach
  • You understand how to take a product or project from idea to release and think about how we could do it better at every stage
  • You are a highly motivated team player and can resolve conflicts and different priorities between different teams and stakeholders for the best of carwow
  • You like to take responsibility and work independently in a highly structured way
  • You approach problems in a structured and data-driven way. You use your knowledge of the business context to gain new insights from data, which you make available to the product teams
  • You are characterised by a high hands-on mentality, you like to go into detail, support your team where necessary, solve complex problems and bring us a strong added value!
  • Experience in user research, with product analytics tools like Amplitude and A/B testing tools like VWO is an advantage
  • Experience with car purchasing/selling or car leasing models is desirable, but not necessary
  • You are native in Spanish and communicate fluently in English
