As a Senior Sales Engineer at Camunda, you will play a pivotal role in guiding enterprise organizations through the evaluation of our process automation and orchestration solutions. This role is focused on strategic accounts, emphasizing strategic adoption and value. You will partner closely with Strategic Account Executives and Solution Architects to demonstrate product value and achieve the solution yes.

  • Convincing the customer that Camunda is the right solution

  • Pre sales

  • Working closely with AE’s- account plans and close plans

  • Supporting AE in sale, helping then with MEDDICC, supporting the development of the account strategy, and focusing on business value in the sales process

  • 3rd level convo- more product discussion- establishing fit between customer pain points and Camunda

  • Partners with solutions architect and other Sales Engineers

  • Manages interaction and organization efforts around the customer

  • Creating demo’s and mock up’s, contributing to account planning and strategy

  • Selling to developers (needs technical understanding)

  • Selling to different levels of business (needs ability to adjust language to audience, value messaging and value engineering)

What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Camunda, you will play a pivotal role in guiding enterprise organizations through the evaluation of our process automation and orchestration solutions. This role is focused on strategic accounts, emphasizing strategic adoption and value. You will partner closely with Strategic Account Executives and Solution Architects to demonstrate product value and achieve the solution yes.

What you bring:

  • A technical degree (e.g. Computer Science, Business Informatics,) or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience, including in value-based selling.

  • Strong grasp of underlying technologies and architecture that power process orchestration and automation, including knowledge of programming languages, APIs, integrations, cloud-native architectures, and scalability. You feel comfortable solving a tech challenge in an object oriented programming language.

  • Proven ability to articulate a product's value proposition persuasively and to overcome objections.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, listening actively, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to a diverse audience.

  • A passion for innovative technology and a strategic mindset focused on driving business value.

  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English (native or C-1/C-2 proficiency)

  • Ability to work well organized, on several engagements in parallel handling competing priorities

  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in enterprise automation, BPM, process orchestration, RPA, or similar fields is desirable.

  • Experience conducting value workshops, applying value engineering frameworks and methods

  • Understanding of the process automation and orchestration product landscape

  • Experience in BFSI, Telco, and Logistics sectors will be highly valued.

  • Proficiency in an additional language

What We Have to Offer:

Compensation

We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition.

The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth:

  • United States: $175,200 to $289,000

  • Germany: €113,200 to €187,200

  • United Kingdom: £110,000 to £180,900

  • Singapore: S$217,500 to S$326,300

If you’re based elsewhere, you’ll be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.

Equity: We also offer equity (where applicable) through our Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP).
