First a bit about the role:

As our FP&A Manager you will join our new team which undertakes decision support and planning for the Experiences segment of Moonpig Group which covers the Buyagift and Red Letter Days brands. We are looking for a FP&A Manager to be the key Finance contact for Marketing, Operations and other Trade Channels within the Experiences segment. You will directly influence senior stakeholders from daily trading decisions and monthly reporting and performance analysis to influencing planning deliverables such as quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and having ownership of key elements of the budgeting and forecasting cycle and providing rich analysis and insight of business performance. You will also be comfortable with building, developing and owning business cases, models and commercial finance reporting.

  • Create, develop, and embed key FP&A processes to support monthly board and leadership deliverables
  • Support the Experiences segment annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process by providing up‐to‐date financials that relate to business drivers and partner with senior business stakeholders on how they achieve these targets
  • Prepare monthly performance reporting and insightful analysis on trends and drivers of variances
  • Support and educate the business in understanding gross margin performance
  • Supporting the wider Finance team with critical deliverables such as audit requests
  • Engagement with Group Finance

And now about you:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, has the capability to take ownership and responsibility whilst also being adaptable and curious about how things function and is commercially astute. You will have the ability to identify and solve problems, influence others, and have a willingness to dive into and understand the detail.

  • Relevant accounting qualification - Qualified Accountant, ACA or equivalent with at least 2+ years of PQE
  • Extraordinarily strong financial modelling and Excel skills, including building models from scratch
  • Experience in setting up and implementing FP&A processes in a business
  • Proven/demonstratable success in an e-commerce or retail environment or listed group experience (preferable)
  • Previous experience of working in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to create effective and credible partnerships by working collaboratively to support and challenge stakeholders
  • Strong relationship building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Aptitude and desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, fast-moving environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
