Why this job matters

Responsible for designing and implementing efficient networking solutions to support secure national infrastructure for our Defence contract in Enterprise Managed Service (EMS). Collaborates across defence teams to ensure timely delivery and meet customer service expectations. This role is desk-based in a secure environment, adhering to security protocols. Security Clearance requirements include SC initially, with potential for DV clearance acquisition.

What you’ll be doing

• Create detailed design solutions that meet customer needs and clearly outline service requirements.
• Design solutions including equipment, components, network services, layouts, connectivity diagrams, and field team instructions.
• Identify and communicate risks that may impact delivery within customer SLAs.
• Support the integration of new technologies into the secure defence infrastructure.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain a positive customer experience.
• Update asset management databases with design changes.
• Work to operational performance standards while maintaining necessary product, network, and system knowledge.

The skills you’ll need

• Strong IT skills (MS Office), including data manipulation, document preparation, and creating presentations.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio (preferred).
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple complex tasks and orders.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively with internal and external customers.
• Customer-focused and results-driven.
