Job Title: Contract Security Manager

Locations: London, Ipswich, Cheltenham, or Manchester

Due to the sensitive nature of this role you will be required to undergo and maintain DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Managing the security assurances, requirements, and obligations in-life, for our customers, shaping a compliant security posture, providing a positive customer experience, whilst protecting the BT brand.
  • Lead consultant activities for contract security management at programme and project level
  • Maintaining security relationships with the end customer, supporting the Account Directors and Commercial leads.
  • Supporting new business initiatives and activities, be an influencer across programme areas to direct security compliance.
  • Support and deliver the business and security strategies through direct and indirect work activities.
  • Continually deliver risk management, security artefacts and support necessary audit requirements.

Experience you would be expected to have:

  • Significant industry experience in Contract Security Management, ideally across government customers.
  • Significant experience in risk, audit and security assurance activities.
  • Understanding of security accreditation and certifications processes, across global governments or commercial industries.
  • Good understanding of technology, customer or commercial trends across global communication and security industries.
  • Experience of working across a wide range of internal and external stake holders to deliver business outcomes.
  • Experience in articulating/implementing a strategic vision and translating into practical action and execution.
  • Strong critical reasoning skills for getting to heart of topics and identifying key themes and actions.
  • Coaching – working across multiple project teams as a lead security consultant.
