Our mission to is to beat blood cancer within a generation. We at Blood Cancer UK have a proud history of celebrity engagement work and also work with a brilliant group of celebrities who are passionate about our work to bring forward the day when blood cancer is beaten.

We’re looking for an experienced Celebrity and Influencer Lead to further develop these relationships and deepening the level of involvement of our existing group of celebrity supporters, whilst developing new relationships with celebrities and influencers who care about our cause. You will identify opportunities to support fundraising, events and campaigns, based on shared interests.

You will have excellent relationship management skills and the ability to harness the passion of celebrities and influencers affected by blood cancer to help us deliver on our mission.

Key Responsibilities

· Develops a celebrity strategy, setting out a whole-organisational approach to maintaining and building relationships with our celebrity/influencer supporters.

· Maintains records of each celebrity/influencer’s engagement.

· Regularly checks in with existing celebrity/influencer supporters, and identifies opportunities for deepening their understanding of both blood cancer and our work.

· Identifies potential new celebrity/influencer supporters, including responsibility for ensuring due diligence.

· Works closely with fundraising teams to identify suitable celebrities to take part in events and campaigns.

· Works with communications colleagues to identify potential for celebrities/influencers to extend our reach through their social media channels and through appearing in the media (including supporting celebrities/influencers through media interviews).

· Works closely with communications colleagues to identify opportunities for working with celebrities/influencers to ensure we are working with them in a way that uses their skills and reach to maximise their impact for people affected by blood cancer.

• Attend and assist at Blood Cancer UK events and activities as required (NB this involves evening and weekend work)

• Be an effective ambassador for Blood Cancer UK at any activity you attend

• Develop an in-depth understanding of our work

• Follow the principles of LEAN

• All staff are expected to adhere to Blood Cancer UK s policies and procedures

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
