What you'll be doing as our Senior QA Engineer 💼

We’re looking for our 1st Senior QA Engineer to bring their technical aptitude and engineering expertise to ensure we are building the very best product. You will ultimately be responsible for the quality of the product, create and implement a process for testing and new and existing features. We’re looking for someone who can help us maximize the potential for new or updated releases to be completed on-time, on-target, on-budget and without compromise to quality.

You'll report directly to the CTO, and sit within the product engineering team. You’ll work closely with the Product Manager, Tech Lead and Frontend Team, to ensure that everything that goes into production follows your rigorous process.

As the Senior QA Engineer at Bippit, you’ll have ownership of the QA function, and we hope you find that both exciting and challenging. We encourage high levels of responsibility and autonomy

  • Testing: Responsibility for owning, defining and implementing functional and non-functional testing frameworks; manually testing the software

  • deBugging: Identify, isolate and report all defects and bugs found in production, capturing relevant data

  • Ambassador: Encouraging a testing mindset internally, empowering all colleagues to consider their QA responsibilities, Work towards more efficient ways of testing using the best tools/methodologies

  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation test frameworks, advise on improvements, and missing journeys/review changes, smoke testing, end to end integration and building out scripts for the future

  • Understanding of BDD and TDD testing approach or if you prefer a different approach, the ability to implement that across the business

  • Experience developing and maintaining manual test scripts

  • Good understanding developing and executing against detailed test procedures and test cases

  • Project management and issue tracking tool experience

  • Capable of using GIT and reviewing pull request

  • Great communication and reporting skills

  • Bonus - Automation tools experience
