Job title: UK Customer Integration Lead (Flight Simulators)

Salary: £54,793+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Engineering Reviews: Lead and coordinate Engineering Life Cycle Management Reviews (BAES internal reviews), and Green Star reviews which are attended by the UK MoD (RAF and DE&S). This involves working closely with the engineering capability teams to ensure all engineering inputs required for the review are produced and are at an appropriate maturity for the lifecycle phase
- Customer Acceptance: Coordinate customer acceptance activities for training device initial delivery / entry into service, and subsequent capability upgrades. Following the acceptance events ensure that all required documentation is generated to support handover of the capability
- Product safety: Working with the BAES product safety SMEs, ensure the capability is developed and managed under the BAES product safety framework and the product safety case is generated to support delivery of the capability
- Product security: Working with the BAES and MOD security SMEs, ensure that accreditation of the capability is achieved and maintained. Attend regular MOD led Security Working Group meetings to ensure shared understanding and progression of security related issues and actions
- Human Factors: Working with the BAES Human Factors SMEs, ensure the capability development and delivery is managed in accordance with the MOD human factors process. Attend regular BAES/MOD Human Factor Working Group meetings to ensure shared understanding and progression of human factors related issues and actions
Your skills and experiences:
- A degree in a STEM subject (or equivalent demonstrable and relevant experience)
- Systems Engineering and Engineering lifecycle knowledge/experience
- Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management
- Project Management experience within an Engineering environment
- A strong Engineering background

The Typhoon UK Capability team:
An opportunity has arisen within the Typhoon UK capability team working on the delivery of next generation synthetic training devices (flight simulators) to the Royal Air Force. You will hold a key technical role in integrating the output of the BAE Systems engineering teams developing the capability to meet the customers demanding requirements. In addition, this role will require engagement with customer stakeholders to manage technical reviews and programme deliverables to maintain a one team approach.
You will report into the UK Programme Engineering Manager and will be responsible for technical integration for the programme through the entire development life-cycle.
