BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is home to 4,500 digital, cyber and intelligence experts. We work collaboratively across 10 countries to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that governments, nation states, armed forces and commercial businesses can unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments.

Security Consultant – Summer Internship
Start Date: June 2025
Base location: London

Role Profile

The role of a Security Consultant is to deliver a mixture of business and technical-related activities resulting in tangible outputs for our clients. Our Security Consultants help our customers understand their cyber risk, secure their business and improve their security operations. We are the people they trust to defend, or recover, from cyberattack through provision of technical services, assurance and support combined with expert analysis.

Typical responsibilities might include:

  • Assistance in the investigation of security breaches and incidents
  • Delivery of information security education and awareness
  • Support of information security governance and management
  • Support of application and system-level risk assessments
  • Development and review of information security policies and procedures
  • Preparation of information security audit and compliance activities
  • Analysis and research of security technologies to support the development of innovative solutions

Please note, you may be required to work on client sites, which are away from your base location – this can be for an extended period of time.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cyber security and have a business mind. You will be able to demonstrate objective and logical thinking. You will have a desire to learn along with having a creative mind. In the role you will be expected to work well as part of a team as well as within the wider business, so interpersonal skills are key. Being competent in Microsoft Office packages is essential along with being IT literate.

Entry Requirements

  • You will need to be studying towards a 2:2 or above, preferably in a Software or Cyber related subject

Security Clearance

Only those with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered for a position within BAE Systems Digital Intelligence.
