Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Samlesbury– We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 +

What you’ll be doing:

  • Facilitating and leading defect reduction activities through effective RCCA and Six Sigma (DMAIC)
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to implement corrective actions within required timescales
  • Developing and managing key performance indicators and reporting accordingly to the Quality and Operations teams
  • Chairing regular corrective action reviews with relevant stakeholders, recording actions and escalating problems where necessary
  • Improving external customer interaction through regular reviews, allowing two-way communication and effective collaboration

Your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of problems solving tools and techniques e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, 8D
  • Having the ability to build strong relationships and a collaborative approach to continuous improvement
  • Experience working within a Quality or Engineering role, ideally in the aerospace industry

Desirable:

  • Experience of project management and Life Cycle Management
  • Knowledge and experience of Process Management within a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of Quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. AS9100)

The MBR team:

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition and delivery of improvement plans within a manufacturing environment. The role will involve carrying out root cause analysis using industry standard methods and managing the implementation of corrective actions with various stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to develop their Quality skill set and influence overall operational performance within the F-35 programme.
