Job Title: Project Manager Delivery – Qatar

Location: Warton

Salary: £54,793+

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Qatar FOC software development programme. You will the bridge between the Engineering and Project Management and cost control. You will be given the freedom to manage the delivery of this programme
  • You will be working the scheduling team to plan the project execution and working with the Synthetic Training Management to ensure your programme is resourced to a level to discharge the programme
  • You will the key interface with the Qatar Project Office and the In-Country Managements Teams
  • You will develop and deliver status presentations the Qatari Senior Leadership Team
  • You will have the ability to undertake advanced problem solving typically based on previous experience
  • You will have the ability to manage the Project Management processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that the needs of customers / users continue to be met, and that financial and other benefits are achieved

Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Related PM Competencies will be expected at this level.
  • Typically a University Degree/ Equivalent, or a substantial amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
  • PM Qualification such as APM Project Management Qualification / PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • PMDY – Planning Practitioner ideally

The Synthetic Training Engineering team

The Synthetic Training engineering department is responsible for producing Typhoon Flight Simulators and through life services that include improved software releases. To produce these products, it requires different sub-teams working together to design, assemble, test and qualify the pilot training devices for the customer use. These simulators are an important element in our customer training programmes to enable pilot conversion and operational pilot training for both the UK and overseas customers. Our focus is to develop highly capable and cost efficient solutions that meet and exceed our customers training needs required for pilot front line operations.
