Job Description
Job title: Digital Estate & Technology – Designer
Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: £47,683 + dependant on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- This role will involve you liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to obtain critical design information/scope necessary to complete project designs
- You will be producing CAD designs that support feasibility, project delivery and post completion operational models/records in both 2D and 3D, including supporting the delivery of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Supporting new projects through timely provision of advice and undertake design review of third parties in-line with standards
- Surveying buildings and infrastructure, traditionally and using laser scanners to register point cloud data to support 3D model generation
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proven 2D and 3D CAD experience in the built environment, using packages such as: Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Revit
- Awareness of workplace and building related regulations
- Proficient in surveying techniques and the ability to record ‘as is’ plans and schematics
Desirable:
- Experience using visualisation software (Lumion)
- Experience using point cloud scanning hardware and software (Faro/Leica)
- Degree or HNC/D qualified in Construction or Building Services, however other disciplines and experience within the Built Environment are welcome

The Digital Estate & Technology Team:
The team is responsible for looking after the digital records of the facilities and estates for the Company and the implementation of innovative technology within the built environment.
