Job title: Data Analyst Practitioner

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £54,793+ (dependent on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide expertise in all aspects of data, including Data Acquisition, Data Quality, Data Management, Data Architecture (including Modelling) and Data Integration
  • Contribute towards the Air Digital Architecture repository with Information Architecture design
  • Support business functions to define, build, develop and exploit data within their domains
  • Work jointly across enterprise architecture teams to develop data objects and data models to support business strategy requirements and changes in current capabilities
  • Contribute towards creation of coherent conceptual, logical and physical data models for relevant domains in the organisation
  • Inform and adopt data modelling standards, guidelines, best practices and approved modelling techniques and approaches
  • Support data integration, business intelligence and content management team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Strong skills in data architecture and data modelling across different perspectives (conceptual/logical/application data)
  • Competent in system integration (including interface design) and with RDBMS techniques
  • Be able to convey complex and technical business issues to diverse audiences, and project a highly credible image in presentations and communications
  • Hold a strong problem solving ethic to address complex business problems
  • Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, ontologies, and challenges of applying structured techniques (data modelling) to less-structured sources
  • Knowledge in user experience modelling, information design, and concept generation

Desirable:

  • Experience in at least one Architecture Repository Management tool (BizzDesign, Sparx Enterprise Architect, LeanIX etc)
  • TOGAF Certification
  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

Architecture Practice team:

As a Data Analyst, you will be performing detailed and complex analysis against our business source systems – where you will be required to evaluate, design and prototype data solutions to key stakeholders. You will also be collaborating with relevant functions and domain architects to understand the implications of respective architectures on information architecture and maximize the value of data across the organisation
