Location: Frimley – Hybrid, there will also be travel involved in this role

Job Description:

You will be responsible for developing specialist work, as well as being the specialist for certain activities, process and governance. This includes leading the activity to capture the business for a specific opportunity (smaller/less complex captures) or support across a strategic Campaign. You will also effectively and smoothly hand over leadership to the Project Manager at Phase 2B review.

Core duties:

  • You will direct development and implementation of the Capture Plan encompassing Win Strategy, Price to Win etc. including owning and driving solutions
  • You will direct the capture and forms and leads a high performing capture team to develop the solution(s) and deliver high quality bid/proposal(s), setting direction and objectives
  • You will be responsible for maintenance of Business Winning and Business Unit toolsets for pipeline, budget and resource management
  • You will plan and appropriately tailor relevant processes, including LCM reviews and approvals
  • You will lead customer requirement influencing strategy, requirements interpretation and solution generation, including making / buying and partnering / teaming strategy
  • You will drive stakeholder management at all appropriate levels across multiple organisations and keeps the Business Leadership Team informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolution
  • You will have the opportunity and request to get involved with, and sometimes lead, other Business Development activities across the International team

Essential Skills:

  • You will bring Business Winning experience to the role, and a deep understanding of business winning behaviours, processes, procedures and industry best practice, this will be demonstrated by your excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • You will have a proven understanding and experience in application of LCM
  • You will be experienced in leading, managing and delivering campaigns/captures (business important and/or significant value campaigns/captures).
  • You will have some experience with government defence acquisition agencies, both UK and international would be beneficial

This is an opportunity for you to work with the team helping to the identify, manage and develop appropriate counterpart customer, government and industry relationships for a specific geography, opportunity or organisation.
